Rockefeller Foundation: Innovation for the Next 100 Years How would you describe innovation? For us, an innovation is something that breaks from the past. Something that frames, imagines and combines existing elements in new ways. Something that creates new pathways for solving entrenched social problems, resulting in lasting change. Do you know an individual or organization whose work fits this description? Let us know, because we’re on the lookout – and his or her organization could receive a grant of up to $100,000 for their innovation. Nominate that individual or organization for our Next Century Innovators Award today. Next Century Innovators is part of the Rockefeller Foundation’s Centennial Initiative. The Centennial honors the Foundation’s 100-year history of fostering meaningful change and its commitment to innovation for the next century. Based on nominations from the global community, we’ll highlight the top 100 individuals or organizations whose innovations are improving the lives of poor and vulnerable people. From these, we’ll select two Next Century Innovators Awardees, including one youth awardee. In addition, our judges will select up to three finalists to put forth for your votes. The finalist with the most votes will receive our third Next Century Innovators Award. Our finalists and awardees will be invited to attend the 2013 Innovation Forum in New York City, and up to three awardee organizations will have the opportunity to seek a grant of up to $100,000 from the Rockefeller Foundation.
